Enhanced grid-following BESS control strategy for unbalanced voltage sag conditions
Battery energy storage systems (BESS) play a pivotal role in modern power systems, with most implementations found in distribution networks that operate using a grid-following (GFL) approach. However, these networks often experience voltage unbalances that can negatively impact BESS operation.

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Operation and control of multiterminal HVDC grids following the loss of an onshore converter
A fully operational Multi-Terminal DC (MTDC) grid will play a key role for the creation of AC systems interconnection and to integrate offshore wind farms. Disturbances (at both AC and DC side) may culminate in the sudden disconnection of onshore HVDC-VSC (High Voltage Direct Current - Voltage Source Converter).

A study in grid simulation and scheduling [PDF]
Grid computing is emerging as an essential tool for large scale analysis and problem solving in scientific and business domains. Whilst the idea of stealing unused processor cycles is as old as the Internet, we are still far from reaching a position ...

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Seamless Transition Control Method of Grid-Connected Inverters Under Unbalanced Voltage Conditions
The transition between Grid-Forming (GFM) and Grid-Following (GFL) modes is critical for adapting to changing power grid conditions. These transitions are essential for protecting grid-connected inverter systems and ensuring reliable power supply ...
