Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.

Assembly of Cell‐Seeded 3D Printed Hydrogel Modules with Perfusable Channel Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Macroscale assembly was utilized to prepare perfusable tissue constructs from individually 3D printed hydrogel modules with embedded branched channel networks and port arrays for cell seeding. Novel multi‐material bioreactors were fabricated to facilitate the gluing of individual modules and the perfusion culture of assembled modular constructs seeded ...

Enhancing Damping in Single-Phase Grid-Forming Virtual Oscillator Control Inverters: A Feedforward Strategy

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society
The expansion of residential distributed generation systems relies heavily on single-phase inverters for grid integration. However, these inverter-based resources compromise grid stability, mainly due to a lack of inertia and grid strength.

AC voltage regulation of a bidirectional high-frequency link converter using a deadbeat controller [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper presents a digital controller for AC voltage regulation of a bidirectional high-frequency link (BHFL) inverter using Deadbeat control. The proposed controller consists of inner current loop, outer voltage loop and a feed-forward controller ...

Selenium‐Incorporated Polymerized Nonfullerene Acceptors/SWCNT Composites with Polymer‐Assisted n‐Doping for High‐Performance Organic Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Selenium‐incorporated polymerized nonfullerene acceptor PCB2Se forms a strong supramolecular complex with SWCNTs, enabling a record‐high zT of 0.29. Sequential N‐DMBI doping, mediated through a polymer‐assisted electron‐transfer pathway, successfully converts the PCB2Se/SWCNT composite into an efficient n‐type material with an impressive power factor ...

Active Learning‐Accelerated Discovery of Fibrous Hydrogels with Tissue‐Mimetic Viscoelasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Active learning accelerates the design of fibrous hydrogels that mimic the viscoelasticity of native tissues. By integrating multi‐objective optimization and closed‐loop experimentation, this approach efficiently identifies optimal formulations from thousands of possibilities and decouples elasticity and viscosity. The resulting hydrogels offer tunable

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.
