Heat Partitioning and Temperatures in Grinding
Manufacturing Science and Engineering, 1996Abstract A theoretical analysis is presented of the energy partitioning and surface temperatures in grinding. The numerical results agree with the experimental results of Kohli et al. It is found that the presence of the fluid inside the grinding zone can reduce the heat flux into the workpiece and the workpiece temperature significantly.
