A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.

Numerical Analysis Model for the Instantaneous Grinding Temperature of Face Gears with a Worm Grinding Wheel

open access: yesJixie chuandong
The thermal distribution during the grinding of face gears using a worm grinding wheel is complex, with the heat being concentrated primarily on the surface layer of the wheel teeth, which can lead to thermal deformation and damage.

Analysis of Workpiece Temperature and Grinding Burn in Creep Feed Grinding

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1985
This paper aims to clarify workpiece temperature and the mechanism of grinding burn in creep feed grinding. The workpiece is modelled thermally by a three dimensional finite element method. The cooling effect of coolant is measured and the fraction of mechanical energy conducted as heat into the workpiece is estimated by Jaeger's moving heat theory ...
