Studies of thin-walled parts deformation by gripping force during turning process on an example of bearing ring

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
In this paper thin-walled part deformation during finishing turning process caused by gripping force of hydraulic lathe chuck was investigated. Bearing ring was taken as an example of thin-walled part undergo finishing turning operation.

Estimating Gripping Forces During Robot- Assisted Surgery Based on Motor Current

open access: yesCurrent Directions in Biomedical Engineering, 2022
Accurate measurement of interaction forces during robot-assisted surgery requires compact force sensing modalities in the surgical tools, thus might add considerable cost to the setup.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Force Closure Analysis for the Forging Gripping Mechanisms

open access: yes, 2011
The gripping contact forces distributed between the interface of the tongs and the work-piece of the gripper of forging robots are considered as an equivalent resultant force whose contact model is friction point contact.

AMESim-based Study on Dynamic Behavior of Gripping Force of Coiled Tubing Injector Head

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
Many problems occur in the coiled tubing operation in oil and gas wells, including coiled tubing slipping, slippage and tubing bite, which seriously threaten the safety of the operation and the life of the coiled tubing.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

A novel running and gripping mechanism design based on centroid adjustment

open access: yes, 2006
One arm is hung on the overhead ground wires (OGWs), the other is off from OGW when inspection robot autonomously negotiates obstacles on OGWs. The tilt of inspection robot's body is happened because the gravity torque is unbalance, and it is ...

Altered anconeus muscle activation characteristics during isometric gripping in individuals with lateral elbow tendinopathy compared to age- and sex-matched control

open access: yes
Purpose Individuals with Lateral Epicondyle Tendinopathy (LET) commonly experience gripping deficits, which are marked by pain and altered motor control of the forearm extensors and flexors. Although delayed activation of the anconeus muscle during rapid
