Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

HYDROGEOLOGY OF REFUSE DISPOSAL SITE JAKUŠEVAC (ZAGREB)

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 1992
The structure of the aquifer and distribution of potentials in the area of refuse disposal site Jakuševac are described. Possible effects of disposal site on ground water quality are estimated (the paper is published in Croatian).

Optical High-Capacity Satellite Downlinks via High-Altitude Platform Relays

open access: yes, 2007
Earth-observation (EO) satellite missions produce a large amount of data using high-resolution optical or radar sensors. During the last decades the amount of data has steadily increased due to improved sensor technologies with increased temporal ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

A new modelling approach for piled and other ground heat exchanger applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Pile heat exchangers have an increasing role to play in the delivery of renewable heating and cooling energy. Traditionally the thermal design of ground heat exchangers has relied upon analytical approaches which take a relatively simple approach to the ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Experimental Investigation of Ground Effect of a Quadcopter Above Inclined Ground

open access: yesJournal of Robotics and Mechatronics
Multicopters for facility inspection and logistics applications are often required to fly very close to structures. However, it is known that the behavior of multicopters can be unstable in the vicinity of structures. In this study, the ground effect when there is an inclined ground plane below the quadcopter was investigated experimentally.

Effects of Ground Rock Phosphate-Sulphur Mixture on Yield and Nutrient Uptake of Groundnuts (Arachis hypogaea) in Northern Nigeria

open access: yes, 1975
Groundnuts given a mixture of S35-labelled ground rock phosphate and sulphur at planting were radioactive 14 days later, when go per cent of the seedlings had emerged.
