Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Plane Wave Coupling to a Transmission Line Above Ground with Terminating Loads

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2019
This paper considers plane wave coupling to a transmission line consisting of an aerial wire above a conducting ground. Simple circuit models are constructed for the terminating impedances at the ends of the line including radiation effects.

Estimating liquefaction induced ground settlements from CPT for level ground

open access: yes, 2002
: An integrated approach to estimate liquefaction-induced ground settlements using CPT data for sites with level ground is presented. The approach combines an existing CPT-based method to estimate liquefaction resistance with laboratory test results on ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Improving the Scalability of SOI-Based Tunnel FETs Using Ground Plane in Buried Oxide

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2019
Tunnel field-effect transistors (TFETs) are known to exhibit degraded electrical characteristics at smaller channel lengths, primarily due to direct source-to-drain band-to-band tunneling (BTBT).

Porous ground treatments for propeller noise reduction in ground effect

open access: yesScientific Reports
Abstract This study investigates the aerodynamic and aeroacoustic behavior of propellers operating in ground-effect conditions, with an emphasis on the impact of porous ground surface treatments. The investigation explores the potential of porous materials to reduce propeller noise near the ground, a major barrier to the acceptance and ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Research on the hysteresis properties of a pitching NACA0012 airfoil under low transonic ground effect

open access: yesKongqi donglixue xuebao
Based on an investigation of pitch oscillation encountered during electromagnetic-assisted near-ground takeoff of a NACA0012 airfoil, this study proposes a layering criterion for transonic static ground effects.

Interference of supports used for ground vehicle wind tunnel testing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In order to provide a correct aerodynamic simulation of a vehicle travelling along the ground, models are tested using rotating wheels in a wind tunnel with a moving ground. In the most common of moving ground configurations the model is supported by an
