Problems of nondivisional training in the Army Ground Forces. Army Ground Forces study no. 14.

open access: yes, 2020
The history of the Army Ground Forces as a command was prepared during the course of the war and completed immediately thereafter. The studies prepared in Headquarters, Army Ground Forces, were written by professional historians, three of whom served as

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Impacts of lateral conductive heat flow on ground temperature and implications for permafrost modeling

open access: yesScientific Reports
Permafrost ground temperature and its spatial distribution are usually calculated using one-dimensional models based on heat flow in the vertical direction.

Permanent displacement of slopes under multi-point earthquake ground motions considering site effects

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
The nonlinear dynamic response of slope soils caused by seismic motion may lead to inconsistent time histories of seismic acceleration at different positions of a slope.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

History of the activation of headquarters of the Fifteenth Army. Army Ground Forces study no. 19.

open access: yes, 2020
This is an account of the activation of Headquarters of the Fifteenth Army, and a narration of the activities prior to overseas shipment. The actual history began after the Fifteenth Army arrived overseas, and is not covered in this short study.

Recurrent neural network-based seismic slope displacement hazard assessment considering the effects of slope aspects

open access: yesGeomatics, Natural Hazards & Risk
Directionality of ground motion with respect to faulting is crucial if directivity pulse-like effects are observed; as a result, ground motion along slope sliding directions with pulse-like effects has a significant impact on slope stability during ...
