A consideration of switching control based on priority of earthquake which is analyzed in observation area as far from an air type anti-vibration apparatus

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2014
This paper presents the control method for the continuous operation of air type anti-vibration apparatus under earthquake ground motion. Air type anti-vibration apparatus is essential for semiconductor exposure machine.

The Effect of Magnitude Mw and Distance Rrup on the Fragility Assessment of a Multistory RC Frame Due to Earthquake-Induced Structural Pounding

open access: yesBuildings, 2023
The effect of an intensity measure’s (IM’s) sufficiency property on the probabilistic assessment of reinforced concrete (RC) structures due to floor-to-floor structural pounding conditions is examined.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Surface rupture process of the Sagaing Fault during the 2025 MW7.7 Myanmar earthquake revealed by video-based optical flow analysisKey points

open access: yesEarthquake Science
On March 28, 2025, a MW7.7 earthquake ruptured the Sagaing Fault in Myanmar, producing a more than 400 km of surface rupture. A surveillance camera at the Great Success Energy site, located approximately 124.5 km south of the epicenter, captured the ...

On Ground Motion Intensity Indices

open access: yesEarthquake Spectra, 2007
The characterization of strength of earthquake demands for seismic analysis or design requires the specification of a level of intensity. Numerous ground motion intensity indices that have been proposed over the years are being used for normalizing or scaling earthquake records regardless of their efficiency.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
