Ground moving target indication for MIMO-SAR
2009 2nd Asian-Pacific Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar, 2009The multi-input multi-output synthetic aperture radar (MIMO-SAR) is an innovative concept, which can bring high degrees of freedom for SAR system with limited transmitting/ receiving (T/R) elements. In this paper, ground moving target indication (GMTI) for MIMO-SAR is studied based on reasonable usage of the space-time equivalent samplings. Furthermore,

Automatic target classification of slow moving ground targets in clutter
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2004A new approach is proposed which will allow air-to-ground target classification of slow moving vehicles in clutter. A wideband space-time adaptive (STAP) filter architecture, based on subbanding, is developed and coupled with a one dimensional template-based minimum mean squared error (MMSE) classifier.

Extension of Ground Control with Moving Airborne Targets.
1979Abstract : A method of extending geodetic control to geographical areas in which control is sparse or nonexistent makes use of unique combination of aerotriangulation and distance measuring technology. Aircraft or drones are flown over a designated area under control of a radial electronic navigation system.

An Approach for Refocusing of Ground Moving Target Without Target Motion Parameter Estimation
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2017In synthetic aperture radar (SAR), long integration time may induce range migration and Doppler frequency migration of a received signal, which may degrade the SAR imaging performance of ground moving targets. Most of the conventional algorithms deal with the problems of range migration and Doppler frequency migration based on parameter searching ...

FOPEN Ground Moving Target Indication
2011This paper will detail the approach for detecting moving targets in ultra high frequency (UHF) FOPEN systems. It is well known that a moving platform provides competing clutter spread in Doppler that masks all but the very fast ground targets. Moving target detection RADARs have been developed at UHF for detecting airborne targets.

A new approach for ground moving target indication in foliage environment
Signal Processing, 2006Ground moving target indication (GMTI) in foliage environment is a challenging problem, because the strong echoes from dense foliage environment and big attenuation of the radar microwave often make it difficult for traditional time frequency distributions to clearly and locally represent the Doppler frequency.

Ultra-wideband ground moving target detection
2020This chapter investigates ground moving target radar modes for surveillance from air-to-ground radar systems. This mode has been important, starting with both Multiple Aperture Surveillance Radar (MASR) and Standoff Target Acquisition System (SOTAS) to detect slow-moving targets in a battlefield environment.

Detection of ground moving targets via MIMO SAR systems
2015 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2015Multichannel space-based SAR systems that exploit receiving antenna sub-arrays displaced in the along track-direction have been shown to provide the capability to detect ground moving targets and potentially estimate their radial motion velocity, thus making possible their correct relocation inside the SAR image of the background.

Enhancement of Along-Track Interferometry for Ground Moving Target Indication
IGARSS 2008 - 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008Along-Track Interferometry (ATI) for the indication of moving targets with two channel Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) shows a low detection probability for a small number of looks. This paper proposes an enhancement called Better ATI (BATI). It is characterized by a constant parameter added to the interferometric SAR image before determining its phase.
