Topology of the ground state of two interacting Bose-Einstein condensates
We investigate the spatial patterns of the ground state of two interacting Bose-Einstein condensates. We consider the general case of two different atomic species (with different mass and in different hyperfine states) trapped in a magnetic potential ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Analysis of a back flashover across insulator strings on a 115 kV transmission line tower by PSCAD
Lightning striking on a transmission tower induces high ground potential rise and high voltage at tower arms in which potential is normally at ground level, and subsequently causes overvoltage across an insulator string.

Fractional Effective Quark-Antiquark Interaction in Symplectic Quantum Mechanics
Considering the formalism of symplectic quantum mechanics, we investigate a two-dimensional nonrelativistic strong interacting system, describing a bound heavy quark-antiquark state. The potential has a linear component that is analyzed in the context of

Grounding of power substations is to provide safety for personnel during normal and fault‐to‐ground conditions by limiting step and touch potentials, to dissipate lightning strokes and to stabilise voltage during transient conditions. One important goal of this study is to present simplified approaches for the earth surface potentials and ground ...

Plasmon-assisted two-photon Rabi oscillations in a semiconductor quantum dot -- metal nanoparticle heterodimer [PDF]
Tho-photon Rabi oscillations hold potential for quantum computing and quantum information processing, because during a Rabi cycle a pair of entangled photons may be created.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

The 2D AKLT state on the honeycomb lattice is a universal resource for quantum computation
Universal quantum computation can be achieved by simply performing single-qubit measurements on a highly entangled resource state. Resource states can arise from ground states of carefully designed two-body interacting Hamiltonians.
