Ordering of Energy Levels for Extended SU(N) Hubbard Chain

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
The Lieb-Mattis theorem on the antiferromagnetic ordering of energy levels is generalized to SU(N) extended Hubbard model with Heisenberg exchange and pair-hopping terms.

Parallelized Ground State Depletion

open access: yes, 2007
RESOLFT was introduced to break the limited resolution in fluorescence microscopy given by thephysical limit of diffraction. RESOLFT needs saturable fluorescence depletion and illumination with spatial regions of zero intensity. Improvements in RESOLFT are still essential since (i) photobleaching restricts the use of large intensities obligate for high

Comprehensive profiling of lncRNAs and mRNAs enriched in small extracellular vesicles for early noninvasive detection of colorectal cancer: diagnostic panel assembly and extensive validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Small extracellular vesicles are a promising source of diagnostic molecules. We conducted a comprehensive study, including transcriptome profiling and RT‐qPCR validation on large cohorts of samples. Diagnostic panels enabling sensitive detection of colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions were established. Some molecules were differentially expressed

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Targeting of PTP4A3 overexpression sensitises HGSOC cells towards chemotherapeutic drugs

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In HGSOC with normal KRAS expression, high PTP4A3 expression regulates autophagy activation. Conversely, in HGSOC with high KRAS expression, KRAS dictates autophagy control, and PTP4A3 is not required. When high PTP4A3 expression is inhibited, HGSOC cells are preferentially sensitised towards DNA‐damaging agents.

Ground states for Schrodinger-Poisson systems with three growth terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article we study the existence and nonexistence of ground states of the Schrodinger-Poisson system $$\displaylines{ -\Delta u+V(x)u+K(x)\phi u=Q(x)u^3,\quad x\in \mathbb{R}^3,\cr -\Delta\phi=K(x)u^2, \quad x\in \mathbb{R}^3, }$$ where V ...

Ground State Solutions for a Non-Local Type Problem in Fractional Orlicz Sobolev Spaces

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we study the following non-local problem in fractional Orlicz–Sobolev spaces: (−ΔΦ)su+V(x)a(|u|)u=f(x,u), x∈RN, where (−ΔΦ)s(s∈(0,1)) denotes the non-local and maybe non-homogeneous operator, the so-called fractional Φ-Laplacian.
