Existence, regularity and positivity of ground states for nonlocal nonlinear Schrodinger equations
We study ground states of a nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation driven by the infinitesimal generator of a rotationally invariant Levy process. The equation includes many special cases such as classical Schrodinger equations, fractional Schrodinger ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

We prove in dimension d=1 a result similar to a classical paper by Soffer and Weinstein, Jour. Diff. Eq. 98 (1992), improving it by encompassing for pure power nonlinearities the whole range of exponents p>1.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Existence of solutions to nonlinear fractional Schrodinger equations with singular potentials
We study the eigenvalue problem $$ (-\Delta)^s u(x)+ V(x)u(x)-K(x)|u|^{p-2}u(x) =\lambda u(x) \quad \text{in } \mathbb{R}^N, $$ where $s\in(0,1)$, $N>2s ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

This article concerns the Klein-Gordon-Maxwell type system when the nonlinearity has a quasicritical growth at infinity, involving zero mass potential, that is, $V(x)\to 0$, as $|x|\to\infty$.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...
