The Literature Review in Grounded Theory

open access: yesGrounded Theory Review: An International Journal, 2006
The paper by McCallin (2003) is a useful contribution to the debate surrounding the role of the literature in Grounded Theory (GT). For the purpose of this paper and with reference to McCallin (2003) the issue will be discussed in relation to the ...

Data‐Driven Materials Science for Energy‐Sustainable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Data‐driven approaches powered by artificial intelligence are transforming materials discovery for energy sustainability. This review examines how auto‐generated high‐quality materials databases and domain‐specific language models accelerate research in photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, batteries and magnetic materials. Applications involve extraction of

Side‐Chain‐Induced Interlayer Slipping in Metalloporphyrin COFs Enables Microenvironment and Spin‐State Regulation for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Alkoxy chain length drives a continuous transition from eclipsed AA to a serrated, slipped AA* configuration over Co‐porphyrin COFs. A moderate slip both contracts the pore channel to enrich CO2 and suppress hydrogen evolution, and enhances collective high‐spin of Co sites, which delivers a record CO production rate with high selectivity.

Book Review:

open access: yesGrounded Theory Review: An International Journal, 2013
This book on writing grounded theory is intended for the empirical GT researcher who wants to pursue his/her research until publication. It is the first book devoted entirely to such a crucial issue as writing grounded theory.

Constructivist Grounded Theory?

open access: yes, 2012
I refer to and use as scholarly inspiration Charmaz’s excellent article on constructivist grounded theory as a tool of getting to the fundamental issues on why grounded theory is not constructivist.

Unconventional Biexciton Dynamics in Superradiant Perovskite Quantum Dots Driven by Many‐Body Correlations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐particle spectroscopy and variational quantum Monte Carlo simulations reveal that strong many‐body correlations fundamentally alter biexciton radiative recombination in weakly confined CsPbBr3 quantum dots. Intra‐ and inter‐exciton correlations reverse the conventional lifetime hierarchy, yielding biexcitons with longer radiative lifetimes than ...

Toward Pore‐Engineered 3D‐Printed Materials for Sorption Water Harvesting, Interfacial Evaporation, and Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Water harvesting, radiative cooling, and interfacial solar evaporation are fundamentally governed by coupled heat, mass, and light transport processes. These processes are mediated by pore architecture, including pore size, connectivity, and hierarchical organization.

Book Review: Glaser, B.G. (2007). Doing Formal Grounded Theory

open access: yesGrounded Theory Review: An International Journal, 2007
Forty years after developing the classic grounded theory method with Anselm Strauss, Barney Glaser has published the long anticipated follow-up monograph that details the method for generating formal grounded theory.

Mapping Correlated Environmental Landscapes in the Fluorescence Response of a Pyrenylated Charge‐Transfer Probe via Data‐Driven Nonlinear Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A pyrenylated donor–acceptor probe exhibits environment‐dependent fluorescence governed by intramolecular charge transfer, restricted molecular motion, and supramolecular organization. Nonlinear regression accurately reconstructs fluorescence responses to viscosity, temperature, concentration, and pH, while correlated parameter maps reveal hidden ...
