Compact Wireless Devices with Defected-Ground Structures

2006 International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Communications (ICWMC'06), 2006
In this paper are presented some investigations on micro- strip defected ground structures (DGS). It is shown that the presence of a slot in the ground plane can substantially enhance the electric coupling, or the electric part of a mixed coupling between resonators and its external feedings.

Research on Hanging Grounding Wire Device with Integrated Electroscope and Grounding

2019 14th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA), 2019
Hanging the grounding wire during the catenary daily power outage operation is the significant link to ensure safe work. While maintaining, the electroscope must be firstly used for electricity inspection before grounding wires. Since the operation is carried out step by step, it is easy to mistake tools and there might be inconsistency between the ...

Photoswitchable biomaterials as grounds for optobioelectronic devices

Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics, 1997
Abstract Optobioelectronic systems provide a means for the electronic transduction of recorded optical signals. The methodologies to assemble optobioelectronic devices are reviewed. One method involves the chemical modification of redox enzymes with photoisomerizable units and their integration with electrode surfaces.

GROUND PREPARATION DEVICE

2001
The invention relates to a ground preparation device (8) comprising a frame (10), to which at least one ground preparation tool and wheels (14) that roll along the ground are attached. The position of the wheels (14) and/or the ground preparation tool in relation to the frame can be modified by a hydraulic cylinder (24, 80) and detected by a sensor (58)

Ground Penetrating Radar as a Sentinel Device

Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems 2010, 2010
Geophysical methods provide a non-destructive non-intrusive method of subsurface investigation. Oftentimes, however, the target is difficult to “see” due to lack of contrast between the target and background. This lack of contrast can be rectified through the use of a sentinel device.

Grounding electrodes and grounding devices. Regulatory requirements
