Evolutionary interplay between viruses and R‐loops
Viruses interact with specialized nucleic acid structures called R‐loops to influence host transcription, epigenetic states, latency, and immune evasion. This Perspective examines the roles of R‐loops in viral replication, integration, and silencing, and how viruses co‐opt or avoid these structures.

How tropical are seven- and eight-particle amplitudes?
We study tropical Grassmanians Tr(k, n) in relation to cluster algebras, and assess their applicability to n-particle amplitudes for n = 7, 8. In N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super Yang-Mills theory, we first show that while the totally positive part of Tr(4,

Gaudin models and multipoint conformal blocks III: comb channel coordinates and OPE factorisation
We continue the exploration of multipoint scalar comb channel blocks for conformal field theories in 3D and 4D. The central goal here is to construct novel comb channel cross ratios that are well adapted to perform projections onto all intermediate ...

A theory of semiprimitive groups [PDF]
A transitive permutation group is semiprimitive if each of its normal subgroups is transitive or semiregular. Interest in this class of groups is motivated by two sources: problems arising in universal algebra related to collapsing monoids and the graph-restrictive problem for permutation groups.

Disruption of SETD3‐mediated histidine‐73 methylation by the BWCFF‐associated β‐actin G74S mutation
The β‐actin G74S mutation causes altered interaction of actin with SETD3, reducing histidine‐73 methylation efficiency and forming two distinct actin variants. The variable ratio of these variants across cell types and developmental stages contributes to tissue‐specific phenotypical changes. This imbalance may impair actin dynamics and mechanosensitive

Calogero-Sutherland approach to defect blocks
Extended objects such as line or surface operators, interfaces or boundaries play an important role in conformal field theory. Here we propose a systematic approach to the relevant conformal blocks which are argued to coincide with the wave functions of ...

Covering group theory for compact groups
In the paper, a homomorphism between topological groups is assumed continuous. All topological groups are Hausdorff. The authors and \textit{C. Stallman} have introduced in [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 351, 1403-1422 (1999; Zbl 0909.22007)] the following notion: Let \(G, H\) be topological groups.

This study reveals how prime editing guide RNA (pegRNA) secondary structure and reverse transcriptase template length affect prime editing efficiency in correcting the phospholamban R14del cardiomyopathy‐associated mutation. Insights support the design of structurally optimized enhanced pegRNAs for precise gene therapy.

Groups definable in simple theories retain the chain conditions and decomposition properties known from stable groups, up to commensurability. In the small case, if a generic type of G is not foreign to some type q, there is a q-internal quotient. In the supersimple case, the Berline-Lascar decomposition works.
