Differences in Vegetative, Productive, and Physiological Behaviors in Actinidia chinensis Plants, cv. Gold 3, as A Function of Cane Type

open access: yesPlants
This study investigated the influence of cane diameter on vegetative, productive, and physiological behaviors in Actinidia chinensis, cv. Gold 3. Conducted over two years (2021–2022), the experiment compared canes with larger (HD) and smaller (LD ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Novel Quantitative Assessment Pipeline of Organoid Growth Dynamics Using Adapted Light Absorption and Surface Area Normalization Models

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research
2D characterization of organoids by light microscopy with live cell imaging systems provides a powerful, rapid approach toward characterizing organoid growth patterns and behavior under different conditions with high temporal resolution. However, current

Molecular dynamics simulation of deposition and growth of cu thin film on si substrate

open access: yes, 2012
Growth and properties of Cu thin film deposited on Si substrate is studied using molecular dynamics method. Tersoff potential parameters for the interaction between Cu and Si are fitted to reproduce the lattice structure of copper silicide.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Quantitative anatomy of the infraspinatus muscle in the human foetus

open access: yesFolia Morphologica
BACKGROUND: The study presents one of the 6 scapulohumeral muscles, which occupies most of the osteofibrous infraspinatus compartment. Along with the supraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis muscles, the infraspinatus muscle contributes to the ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Dynamics of Income Distribution [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we have obtained closed-form solutions in Cass-Koopmans growth models with heterogeneous agents. The relationship between the form of production function and the dynamics of income distribution is made explicit.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
