Suitable Integrated Approach for Management of Fusarium Wilt of Tomato caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (Sacc.)

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, 2017
Among the different integrated approaches for management of Fusarium wilt and their effect on growth and yield parameters of tomato revealed that soil application of FYM @ 100gm/pot + Neem cake @ 100gm/pot + seedling treatment with bio-formulation of ...

Osmoregulation – an important parameter of bacterial growth

open access: yesPostępy Higieny i Medycyny Doświadczalnej, 2011
Environmental conditions such as temperature, pH, radiation and osmotic pressure are important factors limiting the growth and multiplication of bacteria. Regular structure and metabolism of bacterial cells are maintained through a stable arrangement of the water-electrolyte system, regulated by osmosis.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Influence of Phytogenic Additives on Growth Parameters and Meat Biochemistry in Cyprinus carpio

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
Over time, antibiotics have been used in aquaculture to control fish diseases. Improper and sometimes unjustified use of them has raised concerns about their effectiveness and the possibility of resistant bacterial strains development.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...
