Disaster-inducing mechanism of fracture of high-position thick and hard key strata and their weakening and disaster-mitigation effects

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
At present, studies on the disaster-inducing mechanism of high-position thick and hard key strata mainly focus on the fracture behavior of key strata and their influence on strong ground pressure in the mining face, while relatively little attention is ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Vertical Strata and Stem Carbon Dioxide Efflux in Cycas Trees

open access: yesPlants, 2020
Stem respiration is influenced by the vertical location of tree stems, but the influence of vertical location on stem respiration in a representative cycad species has not been determined.

Modeling the shortening history of a fault tip fold using structural and geomorphic records of deformation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present a methodology to derive the growth history of a fault tip fold above a basal detachment. Our approach is based on modeling the stratigraphic and geomorphic records of deformation, as well as the finite structure of the fold constrained from ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Internal and External Modulation of Folding Rates With 104 to 105 Year Time Resolutions From Growth Strata, Pico del Aguila, Spain

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2021
High‐resolution cyclostratigraphy in growth strata are used to reconstruct unsteady folding rates at the regional‐scale Pico del Aguila anticline, southern Pyrenees, to evaluate deformation modulation. Magnetic polarity stratigraphy was used to calibrate

Assessment of the Distribution and Abundance of Coastal Sharks in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and Eastern Seaboard, 1995 and 1996 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
During 1995 and 1996, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), conducted pilot studies to develop survey methodology and a sampling strategy for assessment of coastal shark populations in the Gulf of Mexico and western North Atlantic.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The Overburden Structure Characteristics and Subsidence Reduction Mechanism of Mining by Overburden Bed Separation Grouting

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering
Overburden bed separation grouting (OBSG), a green mining method, can prevent coal‐mining subsidence reduction and protect the environment of mining areas.
