Psychopathological Burden in Allergic Contact Dermatitis: Results From a Case–Control Study Using the SCL‐90‐R

This case–control study shows that patients with allergic contact dermatitis have a higher burden of psychopathological symptoms than controls, particularly in phobic anxiety and somatization, highlighting the frequent coexistence of psychological distress in allergic contact dermatitis.

Disruption of iron metabolism resulting from Dmt1/Slc11a2 deficiency compromises Notch protein degradation and transcriptional activation

Divalent metal transporter 1 (Dmt1) maintains iron homeostasis and lysosomal proteostasis required for physiological Notch receptor–ligand signaling. Dmt1 loss lowers iron storage capacity (ferritin), increasing intracellular Fe2+, driving ROS and lipid peroxidation, and leading to lysosomal/mitochondrial dysfunction.

ABSTRACT Greenland halibut (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides) is a deep‐water flatfish which lives at temperatures of 1°C–4°C and produces large eggs (> 3 mm). The combination of low temperatures and large eggs has resulted in an unusual ovary development cycle, with vitellogenesis taking more than 1 year.
