Modulation of GSK-3 as a therapeutic strategy on Tau pathologies
Glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK-3) is ubiquitously expressed and unusually active in resting, non-stimulated cells. In mammals, at least three proteins (, and generated from two different genes, gsk3 and gsk3 are widely expressed at both the

Wnt/beta-catenin/Tcf signaling: A critical pathway in gastrointestinal tumorigenesis [PDF]
Cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, including the liver, bile ducts, and pancreas, constitute the largest group of malignant tumors. Colorectal cancer is one of the most common neoplastic diseases in Western countries and one of the leading causes of ...

Nap1l4a is required in erythropoiesis and hypoxia responses via physical interaction with Klf1 and Scl to recruit the histone variant H2A.Z. This facilitates its associated cis‐regulatory element (CRE) remodeling and the consequent chromatin assembly, and activates the transcription of erythroid lineage‐specific genes.

The KDM6B/SLC10A2 Axis Suppresses MDSCs Recruitment via ERK/AP‐1 Signaling in Colorectal Cancer
In wild‐type intestinal epithelial cells, KDM6B demethylates SLC10A2 to promote its expression, after which SLC10A2 suppresses ERK phosphorylation, inhibiting AP‐1 (Fos/Jun) transcription and chemokine production. In KDM6B‐deficient intestinal epithelial cells, SLC10A2 methylation increases, and its expression decreases.

Visualisation of the study desgin, main results and key findings. Abstract Background and Aims MAFLD often cooccurs with excessive alcohol consumption, while its prognostic value in this group remains unclear. We aimed to study the mortality risk of MAFLD in relation to excessive alcohol consumption and its potential interactions.

The glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK-3) is a serine/threonine kinase widely expressed in mammalian tissues. Ini-tially identified by its ability to modulate glycogen synthesis, GSK-3 turned out to be a multifunctional enzyme, able to phosphorylate many ...
