Orbit measures, random matrix theory and interlaced determinantal processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A connection between representation of compact groups and some invariant ensembles of Hermitian matrices is described. We focus on two types of invariant ensembles which extend the Gaussian and the Laguerre Unitary ensembles.

Limit shape and height fluctuations of random perfect matchings on square-hexagon lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We study asymptotics of perfect matchings on a large class of graphs called the contracting square-hexagon lattice, which is constructed row by row from either a row of a square grid or a row of a hexagonal lattice.

Intracranial Bleeding After Reperfusion Therapy in Acute Ischaemic Stroke Patients Randomized to Glyceryl Trinitrate vs. Control: An Individual Patient Data Meta-Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2020
Background: Thrombolysis, with or without thrombectomy, for acute ischaemic stroke is associated with an increased risk of intracranial bleeding. We assessed whether treatment with glyceryl trinitrate (GTN), a nitric oxide donor, may influence the ...

Interference cancellation assisted lattice-reduction aided detection for MIMO systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper, we proposed and investigated the optimal successive interference cancellation (SIC) strategy designed for lattice-reduction-aided multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) detectors.

Application of an Advanced GTN Model [PDF]

open access: yesVolume 1: Advanced Computational Mechanics; Advanced Simulation-Based Engineering Sciences; Virtual and Augmented Reality; Applied Solid Mechanics and Material Processing; Dynamical Systems and Control, 2012
The present contribution consists of implementing an advanced GTN damage model as a “User Material subroutine” in the Abaqus FE code. This damage model is based on specific nucleation and growth laws. This model is applied to the prediction of the damage evolution and the stress state in notched specimens made of dual phase steel.

GTN-ED: Event Detection Using Graph Transformer Networks [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Fifteenth Workshop on Graph-Based Methods for Natural Language Processing (TextGraphs-15), 2021
Recent works show that the graph structure of sentences, generated from dependency parsers, has potential for improving event detection. However, they often only leverage the edges (dependencies) between words, and discard the dependency labels (e.g., nominal-subject), treating the underlying graph edges as homogeneous. In this work, we propose a novel

Corrosion Inhibition Effect of Carbon Steel in Sea Water by L-Arginine-Zn2+ System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2014
The inhibition efficiency of L-Arginine-Zn2+ system in controlling corrosion of carbon steel in sea water has been evaluated by the weight-loss method. The formulation consisting of 250 ppm of L-Arginine and 25 ppm of Zn2+ has 91% IE.

Randomised Comparison of the Effect of 0.2% Glyceryl Trinitrate and 0.5% Topical Nifedipine in Acute Anal Fissure Treatment

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Colorectal Disease, 2020
Aim:This prospective clinical trial study aimed to compare the effects of 0.2% glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) and 0.5% topical nifedipine (ND) on acute anal fissure treatment and recurrence prevention.Method:The study included 100 patients who were diagnosed ...

DPP4 Regulates DHCR24-Mediated Cholesterol Biosynthesis to Promote Methotrexate Resistance in Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplastic Cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2021
Metabolic reprogramming could promote cellular adaptation in response to chemotherapeutic drugs in cancer cells. Herein, we aimed to characterize the metabolomic profiles regulated by Dipeptidyl Peptidase 4 (DPP4) in methotrexate (MTX)-resistant ...
