Parameter calibration of anisotropic GTN model and forming limit for S600 aluminum alloy sheet
Engineering Research ExpressHigh strength aluminum alloy sheet has obvious anisotropic characteristics and negligible necking in plastic deformation, making its fracture judgment in forming process more difficult than other metals.

Notched Specimens Fracture Prediction with an Advanced GTN Model
Key Engineering Materials, 2011This present contribution consists of implementing an advanced GTN damage model as a "User Material subroutine" in the Abaqus FE code. This damage model is based on specific nucleation and growth laws in order to predict the void coalescence properties of the material. When applied, this implementation predicts the damage evolution and the stress state

Comparison of GTN damage models for sheet metal forming
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Science), 2008The Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) damage model was developed basing on anisotropic yield criterion to predict the damage evolution for anisotropic voided ductile materials. Hill’s quadratic anisotropic yield criterion (1948) and Barlat’s 3-component anisotropic yield criterion (1989) were used to describe the anisotropy of the matrix.

Cases of stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in Ni-base alloy weld metals welded to the low alloy steel (LAS) in reactor pressure vessel (RPV) components have led to discussions on the possibility of SCC propagating into the RPV.

Parameters Identification for GTN Model and Their Verification on 42CrMo4 Steel
Materials Science Forum, 2005The base of this paper is exact measurement of deformation and fracture material characteristics in laboratory, evaluation of these parameters and their application in models of finite element analysis modelling the fracture behaviour of components with defects. The base of the work is dealing with ductile fracture of forget steel 42CrMo4.

An extended GTN model for low stress triaxiality and application in spinning forming
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2019The Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) models are effective to predict damage evolution and ductile fracture during plastic deformation, while the existing modified GTN models mainly focus on the range of stress triaxiality between −1/3 η ...

Evaluation of Ductile Fracture Behavior Using GTN Model
Volume 1: Codes and Standards, 2014Ductile fracture behavior using GTN (Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman) model in commercial FEA code was evaluated. The material properties of the GTN model for Type 304 SS were experimentally identified. Smooth-bar and notched-bar specimens were subjected to monotonic loading by tensile test, and load-displacement curves were measured. Then, the tensile test
