Abstract Tubulin isolated from calf brain contains one mole of tightly bound nucleotide per 120,000 g of protein, chiefly as GDP. Another mole of GTP can be bound in exchange with the medium. Measurements were made of the spatial distributions of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) on a variety of sandy beaches.
