New Approach in Guidance Law Design Based on Finite-Time Partial Stability Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه علوم و فناوری فضایی, 2015
This paper presents a novel approach in design of missile guidance law against highly maneuvering targets. This approach is based on the principles of partial stability and finite-time stability (finite-time partial stability). Also, it is shown that the

Evaluation of Plasticity and Creep Parameters From Tensile Stress–Strain Data for a Range of Strain Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This plot compares experimental tensile stress–strain curves (with 4 different strain rates) and corresponding modelled curves (obtained using the optimised sets of Voce and Miller–Norton parameter values shown). The inferred M‐N values, characterizing the creep, are very similar to those obtained via conventional creep testing.

Performance and Stability Investigation of a line of sight based Guidance System in the Presence of Measurement Noise [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه علوم و فناوری فضایی, 2018
Usually vehicles are equipped with guidance algorithm based on line of sight (LOS) angle. In this way, some measurements like target acceleration, LOS rate, and closing velocity are provided for the guidance algorithm.

Trajectory prediction-based guidance law

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series
Abstract This paper proposes a guidance law based on trajectory prediction, aiming to address the difficulty of traditional guidance laws in meeting high-speed and highly maneuverable vehicles. The unscented Kalman filtering (UKF) technique is employed to estimate the target’s motion and predict the virtual impact point using the Singer ...

Performance Comparison between True Proportional Navigation Guidance Law and Pure Proportional Navigation Guidance Law [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Control, Automation and Systems Engineering, 2007
In this paper, a performance comparison between traditional TPN (true proportional navigation) guidance law and PPN(pure proportional navigation) guidance law is made, based on a short range surface-to-air missile simulation program. This simulation program has a nonlinear aerodynamic missile model, a roll stabilized autopilot, a nonlinear radar model,

Avoiding the perfect storm of juror contempt [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Concern over juror contempt and improper conduct is one of the factors that prompted the Law Commission’s early review of Contempt of Court. This article argues that any reform of the law of contempt in relation to juries and jury trials should be ...

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

A Novel Integral Sliding Mode-Type Continuous Guidance Law With Autopilot Lag for Intercepting Non-Cooperative Maneuvering Targets

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper proposes an integral sliding mode guidance law with the constraints of the line-of-sight angle and its rate for the interception of a non-cooperative maneuvering target.
