Resistome phylodynamics of multidrug-resistant Shigella isolated from diarrheal patients
Multi-drug resistance (MDR) in Shigella continues to pose a significant public health challenge, particularly in developing countries. Recent advances in genomics strengthen the surveillance of MDR-pathogens and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) mediators ...

The gauge coupling unification is one of main motivations in the split-SUSY scenario, and the existence of the grand unified theories (GUTs) is assumed.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

The Reach of the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LHC for Gaugino Mediated SUSY Breaking Models [PDF]
In supersymmetric models with gaugino mediated SUSY breaking (inoMSB), it is assumed that SUSY breaking on a hidden brane is communicated to the visible brane via gauge superfields which propagate in the bulk.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Model building by coset space dimensional reduction in ten-dimensions with direct product gauge symmetry [PDF]
We investigate ten-dimensional gauge theories whose extra six-dimensional space is a compact coset space, $S/R$, and gauge group is a direct product of two Lie groups. We list up candidates of the gauge group and embeddings of $R$ into them.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

From Planck to GUT via Dimensional Transmutation [PDF]
Consider a gauge singlet superfield S coupled to a pair of adjoint fields in a SUSY-GUT. If the tree-level vacuum is flat in S, the vev which defines the GUT scale will be determined via dimensional transmutation at a scale M where the soft-breaking ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
