Niche partitioning among sexual and unisexual Ambystoma salamanders
Organisms that have ecologically similar sexual and asexual forms present an evolutionary puzzle, as theory predicts that eventually one form should eliminate the other.

ALLOGYOGENETIC PROGENY ARE PRODUCED FROM A HYBRID ABALONE CROSS OF FEMALE HALIOTIS DIVERSICOLOR AND MALE HALIOTIS DISCUS DISCUS [PDF]
Interspecific hybrid families of female Haliotis diversicolor X male H. discus discus were produced and analyzed using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) technology to reveal the genetic makeup of F1 progenies. The survival rates of the hybrid

Gynogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster.
A unique male sterile mutant of Drosophila melanogaster, ms(3)K81 (3-91.3), has been discovered. The male homozygous for ms(3)K81 produces those abnormal sperm which are defective in syngamy but are still capable of activating eggs. The eggs activated by these sperm usually produce haploid embryos that die before hatching.

Techniques of producing monosex or sterile population of fish for aquaculture -- a review of selected literature [PDF]
The need to develop techniques that can make the male grow faster in many species of fish as well as the female in some other species cannot be over-emphasized.

The role of plant extracts in the process of induction of embryogenic structures and its following development in plants is revealed. Thus, the addition in the culture medium of the extracts diluted in DMSO increases the rate of gynoand androgenesis on 2.

Differences in ploidy levels of interploidal crosses progenies between diploids and tetraploid somatic hybrids in citrus : S02P19 [PDF]
One of the main objectives of citrus breeders is to obtain sterile mandarins that produce seedless fruits. Triploids are a response to these criteria. A way for triploid creation is sexual crosses between diploids and tetraploids.
