A detailed study of vector meson production ($\phi$ and $J/\psi$) in $e^\pm p$ collisions at HERA with the ZEUS and H1 detector has been performed. The cross sections are measured as a function of $Q^2$, $W$ and $t$. In this contribution, the results are

Evolutionary interplay between viruses and R‐loops
Viruses interact with specialized nucleic acid structures called R‐loops to influence host transcription, epigenetic states, latency, and immune evasion. This Perspective examines the roles of R‐loops in viral replication, integration, and silencing, and how viruses co‐opt or avoid these structures.

Heavy Flavors in High Energy ep Collisions
Most recent measurements of open charm and beauty production in high energy ep collisions at HERA are reviewed. The measurements explored the different aspects of quantum chromodynamics involved in the process of heavy flavor production.

Fine Companions: Critical Realism and Framework Analysis
This article discusses the alignment of framework analysis with a critical realist philosophy in qualitative analysis. Whilst both are used in social sciences and prioritise meaning making of complex phenomena, the two approaches have not been combined ...

Circulating histones as clinical biomarkers in critically ill conditions
Circulating histones are emerging as promising biomarkers in critical illness due to their diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic potential. Detection methods such as ELISA and mass spectrometry provide reliable approaches for quantifying histone levels in plasma samples.

Exclusive diffractive production of real photons and vector mesons in ep collisions has been studied at HERA in a wide kinematic range. Here we present and discuss a Regge-type model of real photon production (Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering), as well ...

Dynamical Parton Distributions of the Nucleon up to NNLO of QCD [PDF]
A new generation of (unpolarized) dynamical parton distribution functions of the nucleon is determined. After introducing basic elements of perturbative QCD, the dynamical model is discussed and compared with the approach to parton distributions used by ...
