Solidification Behaviour of a H21 Tool Steel

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
Solidification behaviour of a H21 tool steel has been studied. The aim of this work is to give better understanding of the as cast microstructure of the steel. The investigated H21 tool steel was made using induction vacuum furnace with air cooling. The microstructure observation was carried out using optical and electron microscopy.

Failures of AISI H21 die in copper hot extrusion

Materials at High Temperatures, 2014
The failure of a tool steel die used for hot extrusion of copper has been investigated with a view to improving tool life. Hardness measurements and microstructural investigations together with finite element method have been used to map the local softening of the die material resulting in plastic deformation, thus the necessity of the die to be ...

Effect of Carbide Density on Fatigue Limit of H21 Die Steel

Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, 2020
In the present work, the effect of carbide density on microstructure, hardness, wear rate, and fatigue limit of AISI H21 die steel has been studied. The specimens of H21 die steel have been employed hardening at 1195 °C, double tempering at 540 °C, cryotreatment at − 185 °C for 24 h, and soft tempering at 100 °C. The microstructure, hardness, wear rate,

The erosion of H21 tool steel in molten A380 alloy

Journal of Materials Science, 2000
The chemical interaction between H21 tool steel and molten A380 alloy was investigated at 700°C under dynamic conditions. Cr2O3-coated H21 samples were also investigated under the same condition for comparison. Samples were rotated at 300 rpm. The test time was varied between 1 and 36 hours.

PR-MPC for NAO H21 Humanoid Robot: Capture Point Approach

2018 6th RSI International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics (IcRoM), 2018
The main target of this paper is to present a Push Recovery (PR) controller for the NAO H21 robot using Model Predictive Control (MPC) method. In order to compensate the applied push the hip strategy, the ankle strategy, the stepping strategy, and the upper-limb rotation strategy have been used.

Wear and Fatigue Behaviour of Deep Cryogenically Treated H21 Tool Steel

Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2019
The influence of deep cryotreatment before and after double tempering on hardness, wear rate, surface finish and fatigue limit of AISI H21 tool steel has been examined. In the present work, H21 tool steel has been subjected to heat treatment at 1195 °C, double tempering at 540 °C, deep cryotreatment at − 185 °C and soft tempering at 100 °C.

Generalized Viral Illness Caused by an Intermediate Strain of Adenovirus (21/H21 + 35)

Journal of Infectious Diseases, 1980
Ten isolates of an antigenically intermediate strain of adenovirus were recovered from eight persons who presented febrile upper respiratory illness, pneumonia, or multisystem disease between November 1976 and August 1978. Six isolates were recovered from four members of an extended family in which the other nine members all had serologic evidence of ...
