Summary: Replication-dependent canonical histone messenger RNAs (mRNAs) do not terminate with a poly(A) tail at the 3′ end. We previously demonstrated that exposure to arsenic, an environmental carcinogen, induces polyadenylation of canonical histone H3 ...

Comparing the Assembly and Handedness Dynamics of (H3.3-H4)2 Tetrasomes to Canonical Tetrasomes.
Eukaryotic nucleosomes consists of an (H3-H4)2 tetramer and two H2A-H2B dimers, around which 147 bp of DNA are wrapped in 1.7 left-handed helical turns.

SCAP/ARDS patients show reduced unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs) but higher PARK7 and lactate in plasma. PARK7 correlates positively with lactate and negatively with UFAs. Pulmonary endothelial cell multi‐omics show FADS1/2 downregulation and impaired PUFA metabolism. Lactate boosts PARK7 via H3K14 lactylation, and PARK7 then restores FADS1/2.

Transposable Elements, Inflammation, and Neurological Disease. [PDF]
Transposable Elements (TE) are mobile DNA elements that can replicate and insert themselves into different locations within the host genome. Their propensity to self-propagate has a myriad of consequences and yet their biological significance is not well-

ABSTRACT Conspiracy beliefs have been linked to perceptions of collective victimhood. We adopt an individual perspective on victimhood by investigating the relationship between conspiracy beliefs and the individual disposition to perceive and react to injustice as a victim, i.e., victim justice sensitivity (VJS). Data from two German samples (Ns = 370,

A functional SUMO-motif in the active site of PIM1 promotes its degradation via RNF4, and stimulates protein kinase activity [PDF]
The PIM1 serine/threonine protein kinase mediates growth factor and survival signalling, and cooperates potently with c-MYC during tumorigenesis. PIM1 is overexpressed in many human cancers and is a promising target for drug development.

Using Eye Movements to Understand Sense of Control in Situated Action
Abstract This series of studies investigated the interplay between the Sense of Control, continuous action control, and eye‐movement behavior in dynamic and uncertain environments. Across three experiments, we used a custom‐designed environment combined with eye‐tracking to examine how action goal pursuit and visual strategies were adapted to deal with

Structural and Biochemical Characterization of the Nucleosome Containing Variants H3.3 and H2A.Z
Variant H3.3, along with H2A.Z, is notably enriched at promoter regions and is commonly associated with transcriptional activation. However, the specific molecular mechanisms through which H3.3 influences chromatin dynamics at transcription start sites ...
