RD21 enhances resistance to the strawberry vein banding virus by promoting autophagy-mediated degradation of the viral silencing suppressor P6 protein. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Biotechnol J
Summary Responsive to desiccation 21 (RD21) is a papain‐like cysteine protease (PLCP). PLCPs are involved in plant growth and development, as well as stress and plant immune responses. Currently, few studies have reported on the involvement of PLCPs in defence against viral infections.

Protonation Behavior of a Tetrahydrido Molybdenum(IV) Complex with Organic and Inorganic Acids

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 26, Issue 33, November 24, 2023., 2023
Protonation of polyhydride complexes: conjugated base matters! The protonation of a neutral molybdenum(IV) tetrahydride complex was investigated using a range of proton sources. Whereas simple acid‐base process was achieved in the case of a phosphonium, subsequent reactivity of the resulting cationic pentahydride species with conjugated base was ...

Antioxidants restore store‐operated Ca2+ entry in patient‐iPSC‐derived myotubes with tubular aggregate myopathy‐associated Ile484ArgfsX21 STIM1 mutation via upregulation of binding immunoglobulin protein

open access: yesFASEB BioAdvances, Volume 5, Issue 11, Page 453-469, November 2023., 2023
The c.1450_1451insGA mutation in the cytoplasmic C‐terminal inhibitory domain (CTID) of the STIM1 gene causes tubular aggregate myopathy (TAM). The mutated gene produces a truncated STIM1 protein carrying a disrupted CTID domain. This mutation is reported to reduce SOCE. Myotubes induced from the TAM patient‐derived iPSCs showed severely impaired SOCE.

Signatures of hypermassive neutron star lifetimes on r-process nucleosynthesis in the disk ejecta from neutron star mergers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the nucleosynthesis of heavy elements in the winds ejected by accretion disks formed in neutron star mergers. We compute the element formation in disk outflows from hypermassive neutron star (HMNS) remnants of variable lifetime, including ...

Comparative Evaluation of Hydrothermal Carbonization and Low Temperature Pyrolysis of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver for the Production of Solid Biofuel

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
This study evaluates the feasibility of two thermal pretreatments including hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) and low temperature pyrolysis (LTP) on the production of Eucommia ulmoides biochar. The waste wood of Eucommia ulmoides Oliver was pretreated and

Suzuki reaction on pyridinium N-haloheteroarylaminides: regioselective synthesis of 3,5-disubstituted 2-aminopyrazines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An extensive study of Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling processes on N-pyridinium bromoazinyl aminides has been performed. Mono- and disubstitution on 5- and 3,5-bromo derivatives produced the corresponding aryl derivatives.

LHC Search of New Higgs Boson via Resonant Di-Higgs Production with Decays into 4W

open access: yes, 2018
Searching for new Higgs particle beyond the observed light Higgs boson h(125GeV) will unambiguously point to new physics beyond the standard model. We study the resonant production of a CP-even heavy Higgs state $H^0$ in the di-Higgs channel via, $gg\to ...

Mapping the Asymmetric Thick Disk: II Distance, Size and Mass of the Hercules Thick Disk Cloud

open access: yes, 2011
The Hercules Thick Disk Cloud (Larsen et al. 2008) was initially discovered as an excess in the number of faint blue stars between quadrants 1 and 4 of the Galaxy.

SEISMIC OPTIMIZATION ANALYSIS OF VERTICAL STIFFENER CONNECTION TO L-CFST COLUMN

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, 14 models in two series were designed and numerically analysed based on the results of quasi-static tests of vertical stiffener connections to L-CFST columns.
