Experimental Study of Hot Extrusion Micro Gear of Brass H62
A new micro-forming method, combining a metal’s super-plastic behavior with hot extrudsion technology, has been developed for manufacturing micro-gear from brass H62. The micro-gear, which modulus m = 0.125mm, pressure angle α = 20°, number of teeth z = 6, tip diameter d = 1mm, was selected and its dies were designed with a better die approach angle ...

Corrosion Behavior of Brass H62 in Harsh Marine Atmosphere in Nansha Islands, China
Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, 2020The corrosion behavior of brass H62 exposed to the atmosphere of Nansha Islands for 21 months was investigated by weight loss, scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction and electrochemical techniques. The results showed that the average corrosion rate of brass H62 exposed for 1 year was approximately 13.47 g m−2 a−1, and the corrosion products ...

Fabrication of superhydrophobic surface with enhanced corrosion resistance on H62 brass substrate
Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2020Abstract Corrosion protection of metals plays an important role in developing economy. Inspired by the lotus leaf in nature, superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent water-repellent properties has great potential to solve corrosion problem. Herein, superhydrophobic surfaces with improved anticorrosion performance were achieved on H62 brass.

Effects of Grain Refiner and Cooling Rate on Solidification Structure of H62 Brass
In this paper, effects of different grain refiners on solidification structure of H62 brass under different cooling rates were investigate by macro corrosion, SEM and EDX analyses. Results of experiments indicate that the columnar crystal zone of H62 brass is completely eliminated and the grain size is reduced remarkably by 0.01%B.

Effect of passive film on the galvanic corrosion of titanium alloy Ti60 coupled to copper alloy H62
Materials and Corrosion, 2019Ti alloys exhibit high potential because of the compact passive film. However, the effect of passive film on galvanic corrosion is not clear. On the one hand, the great potential difference can accelerate the galvanic corrosion of other metals with low potential.

Dissimilar Welding of H62 Brass-316L Stainless Steel Using Continuous-Wave Nd:YAG Laser
Continuous-wave Nd:YAG laser welding of H62 brass and 316L stainless steel was studied using welded joints made with different overlap configurations. Optical and scanning electron microscopies, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and microhardness testing were used to analyze the microstructures and mechanical properties of the joints.
