Experimental Study of Micro Deep Drawing for H62 Brass
Key Engineering Materials, 2011In this paper, the influence of grain size and blank hold force on micro deep drawing stress and displacement are studied by self-made device. The results show that drawing stress decreases and elongation rate increases with the increase of grain size, the concentrated force area of cylinder-shaped part is transferred from the area punch fillet to die ...

Corrosion Behavior of Brass H62 in Harsh Marine Atmosphere in Nansha Islands, China
Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, 2020The corrosion behavior of brass H62 exposed to the atmosphere of Nansha Islands for 21 months was investigated by weight loss, scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction and electrochemical techniques. The results showed that the average corrosion rate of brass H62 exposed for 1 year was approximately 13.47 g m−2 a−1, and the corrosion products ...

On the Size Effects in Micro/Meso Upsetting of Brass H62 at Elevated Temperatures
Key Engineering Materials, 2014Micro/meso forming, as an emerging manufacturing process for miniature metallic workpieces, has attracted great attention since the 1990s due to its high production efficiency, low material waste and high precision. Due to the so-called size effects in the scaling down, many traditional theories in metal forming cannot be simply applied to the micro ...

Fabrication of superhydrophobic surface with enhanced corrosion resistance on H62 brass substrate
Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2020Abstract Corrosion protection of metals plays an important role in developing economy. Inspired by the lotus leaf in nature, superhydrophobic surfaces with excellent water-repellent properties has great potential to solve corrosion problem. Herein, superhydrophobic surfaces with improved anticorrosion performance were achieved on H62 brass.

Fatigue crack initiation life of fine grain brass H62
Theoretical and Applied Fracture Mechanics, 2010Fine grain alloys possess excellent properties entailing high strength and toughness. Fine brass H62 is made by re-crystallization with grain size ranging from 5 to 10 μm. Fatigue initiation life is investigated from specimens tested on Instron 1341 machine a frequency of 30 Hz.

Research on the Micro-tensile Test on H62 Brass Sheet and Size Effects
2010 International Conference on Electrical and Control Engineering, 2010In order to investigate the effect of grain size and thickness with respect to material mechanical property in the micro-scale, experiments were taken by tensile test on H62 brass sheet metal with different grain sizes and thicknesses. The experiment results show that the flow stress decreases with the decreasing sheet metal thickness, and the flow ...

Equivalent strain, microstructure and hardness of H62 brass deformed by constrained groove pressing
Computational Materials Science, 2011Constrained groove pressing (CGP) has been developed to refine grain sizes, and in most cases is conducted under partially constrained conditions. Here we report the first investigation of the Von Mises equivalent strain and its distribution in samples subject to CGP under partially constrained conditions.
