The LDH‐H3K18La‐Nur77 Axis Potentiates Immune Escape in Small Cell Lung Cancer
Lactate from SCLC tumors induces H3K18 lactylation in naïve CD8+ T cells, upregulating Nurr77 and enhancing tonic TCR signaling. This leads to T cell hyporesponsiveness to stimulation, impairing antitumor immunity and reducing immunotherapy efficacy.

Abstract Thanasimus formicarius (L.) (Coleoptera: Cleridae) is an important bark beetle predator and can reduce bark beetle population densities of some of the most severe forest pests in Europe. We analysed the population genetics and phylogeography of T.

Conjugation is a major mechanism that facilitates the exchange of antibiotic resistance genes among bacteria. The broad-host-range Inc18 plasmid pIP501 harbors 15 genes that encode for a type IV secretion system (T4SS).

Approximate quantum error correction for generalized amplitude damping errors
We present analytic estimates of the performances of various approximate quantum error correction schemes for the generalized amplitude damping (GAD) qubit channel. Specifically, we consider both stabilizer and nonadditive quantum codes.

CTCF and BORIS Regulate Rb2/p130 Gene Transcription: A Novel Mechanism and a New Paradigm for Understanding the Biology of Lung Cancer [PDF]
Although innumerable investigations regarding the biology of lung cancer have been carried out, many aspects thereof remain to be addressed, including the role played by the retinoblastoma-related protein Rb2/ p130 during the evolution of this disease.

During the G2/M phase, mucin1 (MUC1) activates protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), leading to reduced phosphorylation of protein kinase C ζ (PKCζ) and NUMB, which promotes symmetric division and expansion of cancer stem‐like cells (CSLCs), thereby driving tumorigenesis. Combined inhibition of the MUC1–PP2A axis using LB100/GO203 with etoposide restores PKCζ

A new bound for the 2/3 conjecture [PDF]
We show that any n-vertex complete graph with edges colored with three colors contains a set of at most four vertices such that the number of the neighbors of these vertices in one of the colors is at least 2n/3. The previous best value, proved by Erdos,

Grafts used to construct lung cancer animal models come from various sources, primarily cell lines, patient‐derived tumor tissues, and circulating tumor cells. Based on the sources of grafts and research objectives, lung cancer animal models can be categorized into several types: chemical‐induced models, orthotopic transplantation models, heterotopic ...

Midkine Promotes Tumor Growth and Attenuates the Effect of Cisplatin in Small Cell Lung Cancer
ABSTRACT Purpose Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive disease associated with poor patient survival rates. The addition of an anti‐programmed death ligand 1 antibody to platinum combination chemotherapy can improve its prognosis. However, only a few patients achieve a long‐term response; thus, establishing new therapies for SCLC is ...
