Habit in Pollution. A Challenge for Intergenerational Equity [PDF]
In this article we extend the recent literature on overlapping generations and pollution by allowing each generation’s utility to depend on past levels of pollution.

Gut Microbial Topology and Metabolic Signatures Associated With Colorectal Neoplasia
The gut microbiota organizes into two robust association patterns linked to colorectal neoplasia risk. Topological shifts in microbial networks are associated with metabolite alterations and may shape host responses during disease development. ABSTRACT Alterations of gut microbial communities impact health.

Habit Formation and Fiscal Transmission in Open Economies [PDF]
In this paper we analyze the ability of an open economy version of the neoclassical model to account for the time-series evidence on fiscal policy transmission. In a first step, we identify government spending shocks within a vector autoregression model.

Hippocampal CA2 perineuronal nets ensheathing excitatory pyramidal neurons are selectively vulnerable to repeated neonatal sevoflurane exposure. Epigenetic upregulation of MMP9 via reduced H3K27me3 disrupts PNN integrity, impairs BDNF–TrkB signaling, and causes synaptic protein loss and dendritic spine deficits, leading to persistent social and spatial

HABIT FORMATION AND PRECAUTIONARY SAVING: EVIDENCE FROM THE KOREAN HOUSEHOLD PANEL STUDIES [PDF]
We examined the evidence of precautionary saving and Constantinides (1990) type habit formation model by using the Korean Household Panel Studies, which has six years of time series observations and thousands of cross section observations.

A developmentally guided protocol reproducibly specifies EN1‐positive ventral midbrain dopaminergic (vmDA) progenitors from human pluripotent stem cells and yields functional vmDA neurons. Optogenetic induction of α‐synuclein aggregation elicits selective degeneration of TH‐positive neurons in 2D cultures and 3D neurospheroids, while transplanted ...

The main goal of the Norwegian policy on food and nutrition for the period 1975-1990 is to reduce the proportion of fat in the diet to 35 per cent of the energy supply. This should be achieved through a gradual change in diet. Figures on food supply and consumption show that this target has been reached.

Drug Repurposing for Treating NCOR‐Related Intellectual Disability
An autism‐associated NCOR1 heterozygous mutation upregulates NRGs and activates NRG backward signaling in hypothalamic GABAergic neurons in mouse models, leading to Gabra2 downregulation and cognitive deficits, which can be therapeutically targeted by repurposing FDA‐approved drugs.

Targeted Mechanogenetics to Modulate Specific Deep Neural Circuits
This study introduces mechanogenetics, a nanobubble‐enhanced sonogenetic strategy for selective modulation of feeding‐related neural circuits in the mouse lateral hypothalamus. Mechanogenetic stimulation modulates feeding behavior through glutamatergic projections from the lateral hypothalamus to the ventral tegmental area, highlighting its potential ...
