BloodSpot: a database of healthy and malignant haematopoiesis updated with purified and single cell mRNA sequencing profiles

open access: yesNucleic Acids Res., 2018
BloodSpot is a gene-centric database of mRNA expression of haematopoietic cells. The web-based interface to the database includes three concomitant levels of visualization for a gene query; foremost is the expression across hematopoietic cell types ...

Characterization of ribosome heterogeneity during endothelial to hematopoietic transition

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The panorama of ribosome heterogeneity during embryonic hematopoiesis has not yet been portrayed. In this study, utilizing dual‐omics data, the heterogenous dynamic of ribosome during endothelial‐to‐hematopoietic transition has been systemically described. Moreover, stage‐specific upregulation and peripheral localization of RPL27 and RACK1 in hemogenic

Distinctive functions of methionine aminopeptidase II in embryonic haematopoiesis in zebrafish embryos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Oral presentationINTRODUCTION: Methionine aminopeptidase 2 (MetAP-2) is known to be the target of an anti-angiogenesis compound fumagillin and has been investigated for its robust expression in human cancers and its antiproliferative effects on ...

Comparative Effect of Maitake Pro4x with Chemotherapy Breast Cancer Treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Conventional treatments for breast cancer involve surgery followed by radiation and hormonal therapy and/or chemotherapy. Some of these treatments have toxic side effects.

Actin dynamics controlled by IqgC, a RasGAP at the crossroads between the IQGAP and fungal GAP1 families

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IqgC is a RasGAP from Dictyostelium discoideum. IqgC binds RasG via its RasGAP domain and deactivates it on macroendocytic cups, thereby suppressing the uptake of fluid and particles. IqgC has a positive effect on cell‐substratum adhesion, and its RGCt domain is required for recruitment to ventral foci.

Ex vivo culture of adult CD34+ stem cells using functional highly porous polymer scaffolds to establish biomimicry of the bone marrow niche [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Haematopoiesis, the process of blood production, occurs from a tiny contingent of haematopoietic stem cells (HSC) in highly specialised three-dimensional niches located within the bone marrow.

Two‐way inhibition of PAX5 transcriptional activity by PAX5::CBFA2T3

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
PAX5::CBFA2T3 (PAX5‐C) is a fusion protein of the B‐cell transcription factor, PAX5, and is found in B‐cell ALL. We propose a putative model of two‐way inhibition of PAX5 transcriptional activity by PAX5‐C. There are two ways of repression by PAX5‐C: DNA‐binding‐dependent way and HDAC‐dependent way, with either being sufficient for the repression. HDAC

Mutations of the BRAF gene in human cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Cancers arise owing to the accumulation of mutations in critical genes that alter normal programmes of cell proliferation, differentiation and death. As the first stage of a systematic genome-wide screen for these genes, we have prioritized for analysis ...
