Haematoxylin-eosin stained horizontal retinal sections from porcine enucleated eyes in Eye No.15 at different stroke lengths with HV PPV. [PDF]
(A) Nasal macula (10μm) (B) Temporal macula (20μm). There appeared to be more cytoplasmic vacuolation along GCL with higher stroke length (B). However, similar cytoplasmic vacuolation changes along the GCL were noted in the control eye of same pig (C ...

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Implantable Ionic Memristors Based on Natural Polymer Heterojunctions
We report an implantable natural polymer‐based ionic memristor composed of hyaluronic acid, chitosan, and PDMS. The device achieved 98.94% accuracy in MNIST classification while reducing training time by 36.8% compared with a conventional artificial neural network (ANN).

The effect of prolonged fixation time on haematoxylin & eosin staining quality of rats colon and placenta tissue [PDF]
The use of formalin in histopathological sample preparation is intended to preserve protein and cellular organelles. It is argued that prolonged formalin fixation may lead to tissue shrinkage and hardening.

Application of alternative fixatives to formalin in diagnostic pathology
Fixation is a critical step in the preparation of tissues for histopathology. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of different fixatives vs formalin on proteins and DNA, and to evaluate alternative fixation for morphological ...
