Experimental determination of the hafnium L-subshell fundamental parameters using the holistic approach

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
By employing the recently demonstrated new holistic approach, the atomic fundamental parameters (FPs) of the three Hf-L subshells were experimentally determined using the radiometrically calibrated instrumentation of the Physikalisch-Technische ...

Fatigue behavior of powder metallurgy superalloy FGH97

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
The fatigue crack growth rates of powder metallurgy (P/M) superalloy FGH97 with different grain sizes, γ' phase sizes and Hf contents were measured at a 650℃ high temperature condition and compared with those of FGH95 and FGH96 alloys.

Solvent‐Free Bonding Mechanisms and Microstructure Engineering in Dry Electrode Technology for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dry electrode technology revolutionizes battery manufacturing by eliminating toxic solvents and energy‐intensive drying. This work details two promising techniques: dry spray deposition and polymer fibrillation. How their unique solvent‐free bonding mechanisms create uniform microstructures for thicker, denser electrodes, boosting energy density and ...

Some Properties of Hafnium Oxide, Hafnium Silicate, Calcium Hafnate, and Hafnium Carbide

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, 1954
The behavior of hafnium oxide was studied particularly in the temperature range 1500° to 18OO°C. Properties of HfO 2 at these temperatures and its reactions with ZrO 2 , SiO 2 , and CaO are given in terms of ...

Hydrogen Pentagraphenelike Structure Stabilized by Hafnium: A High-Temperature Conventional Superconductor.

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2020
The recent discovery of H_{3}S and LaH_{10} superconductors with record high superconducting transition temperatures T_{c} at high pressure has fueled the search for room-temperature superconductivity in the compressed superhydrides.

Laser‐Based Sculpturing of Embedded Ultrathin Metal‐Oxide Nanopores for Enhanced Biomolecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Triggering of 178Hfm2 by photoinduced electron transition [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2013
We considered the NEET (nuclear excitation by electron transition) as a possible triggering mechanism of the isomer 178Hfm2 during ionization of the L3 atomic shell by x-rays.
