Effectiveness of a Novel Compound HAIR & SCALP COMPLEX on Hair Follicle Regeneration
Background: People lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day and generate new ones from stem cells in hair follicles, but in those suffering from baldness, the stem cells remain inactive and are unable to regenerate new hair.

There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

Minoxidil directly promotes hair growth via the stimulation of dermal papilla (DP) and epithelial cells. Alternatively, there is little evidence for indirect promotion of hair growth via stimulation of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs).

Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

How plants determine the final size of growing cells is an important, yet unresolved, issue. Root hairs provide an excellent model system with which to study this as their final cell size is remarkably constant under constant environmental conditions ...

Tic-TACs: Refreshing Hair Growth [PDF]
Although stem cells are subject to niche control, evidence is emerging that they also contribute to generating the niche through their offspring. Using the hair follicle as a model, Hsu at al.

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

In Vitro Growth of Postembryonic Hair
The growth of postembryonic mouse hair has been studied in tissue culture using rat-tail collagen gel as a substrate. Continued development and growth of follicles from both newborn and 3- to 4-day-old mice is stimulated only when a tryptic digest of early mouse embryos is incorporated in the culture medium.
