Dynamics and Lax-Phillips scattering for generalized Lamb models
This paper treats the dynamics and scattering of a model of coupled oscillating systems, a finite dimensional one and a wave field on the half line. The coupling is realized producing the family of selfadjoint extensions of the suitably restricted self ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

New Oscillation Results For Third-Order Half-Linear Neutral Differential Equations
The main purpose of this paper is to obtain criteria for the oscillation of all solutions of a third-order half-linear neutral differential equation.

Oscillations of half-linear second order differential equations
Let \(\varphi:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) be defined by \(\varphi(s)=|s|^{p-2}s\), with \(p>1\) a fixed number. We extend Sturm's comparison theorem of the linear differential equation \[ {\textstyle {\frac{d}{dt}}} [r(t)u'(t)]+ c(t)u(t)=0 \] to the nonlinear differential equation \[ {\textstyle {\frac{d}{dt}}} \{r(t)\varphi(u'(t))\}+ c(t)\varphi(u(t))=0,

Variational method and conjugacy criteria for half-linear differential equations [PDF]
The authors analyse the conjugacy of the second order half-linear differential equation \[ -[r(t)\Phi (x')]'+c(t)\Phi (x) = 0, \quad \Phi (x) = |x|^{p-1} \operatorname {sgn}\,x, p>1 \] in the interval \([-a,a], a\in \mathbb {R}\) (\(r,c\) being continuous functions and \(r(t)>0\) for \(t \in [-a,a]\)).

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The unified transform method for linear initial-boundary value problems: a spectral interpretation [PDF]
It is known that the unified transform method may be used to solve any well-posed initial-boundary value problem for a linear constant-coefficient evolution equation on the finite interval or the half-line.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Hartman-type comparison theorems for half-linear differential equations of the second order
Comparison theorem of the Hartman type for a continuous family of nonlinear differential equations of the form $$ \big(p(t, \lambda)\varphi(u')\big)' + q(t,\lambda) \varphi(u) = 0, \lambda \geq 0, \quad \tag{ $\rm E_\lambda$}$$ where $ p \in \mathrm{C ...

Integral Comparison Criteria for Half-Linear Differential Equations Seen as a Perturbation
In this paper, we present further developed results on Hille–Wintner-type integral comparison theorems for second-order half-linear differential equations.
