We consider the relativistic deformation of quantum waves and mechanical bodies carrying intrinsic angular momentum (AM). When observed in a moving reference frame, the centroid of the object undergoes an AM-dependent transverse shift. This is the relativistic analogue of the spin Hall effect, which occurs in free space without any external fields ...

The utilizing Hall effect-based current sensor ACS712 for true RMS current measurement in power electronic systems [PDF]
Current measurement in power electronic systems is a necessary part of the measurement process. There are different ways for current measurement like using current transformers or using the Rogowski coils which are not precise enough in many applications

It is proposed that when a charge current circulates in a paramagnetic metal a transverse spin imbalance will be generated, giving rise to a 'spin Hall voltage'. Similarly, that when a spin current circulates a transverse charge imbalance will be generated, hence a Hall voltage, in the absence of charge current and magnetic field.

Berry curvature and various thermal Hall effects
Applying the approach of semiclassical wave packet dynamics, we study various thermal Hall effects where carriers can be electron, phonon, magnon, etc. A general formula of thermal Hall conductivity is obtained to provide an essential physics for various

Photon Thermal Hall Effect [PDF]
A near-field thermal Hall effect (i.e.Righi-Leduc effect) in networks of magneto-optical particles placed in a constant magnetic field is predicted. This many-body effect is related to a symmetry breaking in the system induced by the magnetic field which gives rise to preferential channels for the heat-transport by near-field interaction thanks to the ...

An intriguing property of three-dimensional (3D) topological insulator (TI) is the existence of surface states with spin-momentum locking, which offers a new frontier of exploration in spintronics. Here, we report the observation of a new type of Hall effect in a 3D TI Bi2Se3 film.
