Berry curvature and various thermal Hall effects
Applying the approach of semiclassical wave packet dynamics, we study various thermal Hall effects where carriers can be electron, phonon, magnon, etc. A general formula of thermal Hall conductivity is obtained to provide an essential physics for various

Hall effect in noncommutative coordinates [PDF]
We consider electrons in uniform external magnetic and electric fields which move on a plane whose coordinates are noncommuting. Spectrum and eigenfunctions of the related Hamiltonian are obtained. We derive the electric current whose expectation value gives the Hall effect in terms of an effective magnetic field.

Influence of dephasing on the quantum Hall effect and the spin Hall effect [PDF]
We study the influence of the phase relaxation process on Hall resistance and spin Hall current of a mesoscopic two-dimensional (2D) four-terminal Hall cross-bar with or without Rashba spin-orbit interaction (SOI) in a perpendicular uniform magnetic field.

Ferromagnetic-electrodes-induced Hall effect in topological Dirac semimetals
We propose an unconventional type of Hall effect in a topological Dirac semimetal with ferromagnetic electrodes. The topological Dirac semimetal itself has time-reversal symmetry, whereas attached ferromagnetic electrodes break it, causing the large Hall

A review of the phenomenology of the Spin Hall Effect and related phenomena originating from the coupling between spin and charge currents by spin-orbit interaction is presented. The physical origin of various effects in spin-dependent scattering is demonstrated.

The intrinsic spin Hall effect in semiconductors has developed to a remarkably lively and rapidly growing branch of research in the field of semiconductor spintronics. In this article we give a pedagogical overview on both theoretical and experimental accomplishments and challenges. Emphasis is put on the the description of the intrinsic mechanisms of
