Halogen-Bonded Photoresponsive Materials
The aim of the present review is to illustrate to the reader the state of the art on the construction of supramolecular azobenzene-containing materials formed by halogen bonding. These materials include several examples of polymeric, liquid crystalline or crystalline species whose performances are either superior to the corresponding performances of ...

5-Iodo-1-Arylpyrazoles as Potential Benchmarks for Investigating the Tuning of the Halogen Bonding
5-Iodo-1-arylpyrazoles are interesting templates for investigating the halogen bond propensity in small molecules other than the already well-known halogenated molecules such as tetrafluorodiiodobenzene.

Exploring Orthogonality between Halogen and Hydrogen Bonding Involving Benzene
The concept of orthogonality between halogen and hydrogen bonding, brought out by Ho and coworkers some years ago, has become a widely accepted idea within the chemists’ community. While the original work was based on a common carbonyl oxygen as acceptor

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.
