A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Summary: Halogen···halogen (X···X) short contacts, especially halogen bonds (XBs), have been widely used in multifarious fields because of their bridging function among luminophores, as well as their well-known heavy atom effect.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Halogen-bonded cocrystallization with phosphorus, arsenic and antimony acceptors
Halogen bonding can be exploited for the design of functional supramolecular materials, but heavier elements that are known to accept a halogen bond remain limited.

Skeletal metalation of lactams through a carbonyl-to-nickel-exchange logic
Classical metalation reactions such as the metal-halogen exchange have had a transformative impact on organic synthesis owing to their broad applicability in building carbon-carbon bonds from carbon-halogen bonds.

Coordination networks incorporating halogen-bond donor sites and azobenzene groups [PDF]
Two Zn coordination networks, [Zn(1)(Py)2]2(2-propanol)n (3) and [Zn(1)2(Bipy)2](DMF)2n (4), incorporating halogen-bond (XB) donor sites and azobenzene groups have been synthesized and fully characterized.

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Nature of the Hydrogen Bond Enhanced Halogen Bond
The factors responsible for the enhancement of the halogen bond by an adjacent hydrogen bond have been quantitatively explored by means of state-of-the-art computational methods. It is found that the strength of a halogen bond is enhanced by ca.
