Predicting 2D Crystal Packing in Thin Films of Small Molecule Organic Materials
A computational method is proposed for predicting the 2D molecular packing in crystalline thin films of flexible organic molecules. The approach employs a grid search for molecular arrangements, achieving accurate predictions of 2D packing motifs with strongly reduced computational costs.

Fermi Arcs Dominating the Electronic Surface Properties of Trigonal PtBi2
Trigonal PtBi2 is a Weyl semimetal with recently demonstrated surface superconductivity. Scanning tunneling spectroscopy of the quasiparticle interference in the normal state of this material, combined with density functional theory calculations, reveals that the scattering between Fermi arcs dominates the interference spectra, providing conclusive ...

Modulational Instability and Dynamical Growth Blockade in the Nonlinear Hatano–Nelson Model
The nonlinear Hatano–Nelson model under periodic boundary conditions is investigated, revealing a novel growth blockade phenomenon triggered by the modulational instability of nonlinear plane waves. This effect, characterized by the abrupt halt of norm growth, arises from self‐induced disorder, marking a departure from the convective motion observed in

The study demonstrates that under mild hydrogenation conditions, C‐H/D exchange occurs in common solvents toluene and xylene, especially at benzylic positions. Studies indicate that carbon‐centered radicals bind strongly to Pd surfaces, suggesting their possible role in catalytic reactions. Spin‐trapping EPR confirms H‐radical adducts are present under

Bayesian probabilistic selection index in the selection of common bean families
Abstract Selecting progenies evaluated in different seasons, locations, and years is a challenge for breeders in plant breeding programs. This is because different environmental conditions can lead to differential expression of genes involved in controlling traits of interest, resulting in the genotype × environment (G × E) interaction. Utilizing the G

Ab initio spectroscopy methods provide crucial molecular‐level information for interpreting experimental spectra. In situations with limited data, such as extreme P–T conditions or confinement, these methods can provide guidance for experiments. ABSTRACT Vibrational spectroscopy is commonly applied for investigating the chemical and physical properties
