State transitions in the 2001/2002 outburst of XTE J1650-500

open access: yes, 2003
We present a study of the X-ray transient and black hole candidate XTE J1650-500 during its 2001/2002 outburst. The source made two state transitions between the hard and soft states, at luminosity levels that differed by a factor of ~5-10.

Decreased Serum 5‐HT: Clinical Correlates and Regulatory Role in NMJ of MG

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although 5‐Hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT) indirectly stimulates muscle contraction and participates in regulating Acetylcholine receptor (AChR) cluster homeostasis in cellular, animal, and clinical studies, evidence regarding its potential to modulate muscle contraction in myasthenia gravis (MG) remains limited.

Hard X-ray emission cutoff in anomalous X-ray pulsar 4U 0142+61 detected by INTEGRAL

open access: yes, 2013
The anomalous X-ray pulsar 4U 0142+61 was studied by the INTEGRAL observations. The hard X-ray spectrum of 18 -- 500 keV for 4U 0142+61 was derived using near 9 years of INTEGRAL/IBIS data.

Applying an Ethical Lens to the Treatment of People With Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The practice of neurology requires an understanding of clinical ethics for decision‐making. In multiple sclerosis (MS) care, there are a wide range of ethical considerations that may arise. These involve shared decision‐making around selection of a disease‐modifying therapy (DMT), risks and benefits of well‐studied medications in comparison to

Asymptotic laws for tagged-particle motion in glassy systems

open access: yes, 1998
Within the mode-coupling theory for structural relaxation in simple systems the asymptotic laws and their leading-asymptotic correction formulas are derived for the motion of a tagged particle near a glass-transition singularity.
