Mechanism and Control Analysis of Synchronous Frequency Resonance in Distributed Power Generation System Connected to Grid

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 2263-2276, April 2026.
Small‐signal modeling reveals that insufficient system damping positions conjugate poles near the imaginary axis, fundamentally explaining the SFR mechanism. A virtual resistance control is consequently proposed to damp the resonance and effectively suppress SFR, which is validated through Hardware‐in‐the‐Loop experiments.

Stability analysis of parallel virtual synchronous generators and suppression of low‐frequency oscillations

open access: yesEnergy Conversion and Economics, Volume 7, Issue 2, Page 149-161, April 2026.
Abstract With the increasing penetration of power electronic devices in power systems, virtual synchronous generator (VSG) technology has garnered widespread attention for its ability to provide inertia and damping support to the grid. However, while simulating the external characteristics of synchronous generators, this technology also introduces ...
