Inference for Differential Equation Models using Relaxation via Dynamical Systems
Statistical regression models whose mean functions are represented by ordinary differential equations (ODEs) can be used to describe phenomenons dynamical in nature, which are abundant in areas such as biology, climatology and genetics. The estimation of

Psychopathy traits and their link to emotion recognition impairments in conduct disorder
Abstract Background Neurocognitive models suggest that callous‐unemotional (CU) traits in youths with conduct disorder (CD) are linked to emotion recognition impairments, particularly in identifying distress emotions like fear and sadness. However, CD may be accompanied by grandiose‐manipulative (GM) and/or impulsive‐irresponsible (II) traits in ...

Moving forward in circles: challenges and opportunities in modelling population cycles [PDF]
Population cycling is a widespread phenomenon, observed across a multitude of taxa in both laboratory and natural conditions. Historically, the theory associated with population cycles was tightly linked to pairwise consumer–resource interactions and ...

Monthly average aerosol optical depth at 320 nm obtained with a Brewer MKIII spectrophotometer for Hobart, Australia (42.8806° S, 147.3250° E) over a 21‐year period. There is a linear trend of 15.4% per decade. There are 9 months when the average aerosol optical depth exceeds twice the monthly standard deviation.

Variational finite-difference representation of the kinetic energy operator
A potential disadvantage of real-space-grid electronic structure methods is the lack of a variational principle and the concomitant increase of total energy with grid refinement.

The handheld Raman with SSE system efficiently mitigates fluorescence; however, it may also bias the Raman response towards graphitic domains in carbon‐based black pigments, thereby concealing amorphous carbon contributions that are critical for pigment type identification.

Nonreceding hare lines: genetic continuity since the Late Pleistocene in European mountain hares (Lepus timidus) [PDF]
Throughout time, climate changes have caused substantial rearrangements of habitats which have alternately promoted and disfavoured different types of taxa.

ABSTRACT The increasing prevalence of corporate scandals and dysfunction linked to psychopathic leaders has prompted significant research into the drivers and effects of psychopathy in business. This paper examines corporate psychopathy, focusing on individuals with extreme selfishness, callousness, and manipulative behavior who often achieve ...
