A Method for Harmonic Sources Detection based on Harmonic Distortion Power Rate

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2018
Harmonic sources detection at the point of common coupling is an essential step for harmonic contribution determination and harmonic mitigation. The harmonic distortion power rate index is proposed for harmonic source location based on IEEE Std 1459-2010 in the paper.

Ukupno harmoničko izobličenje i brzina prostorne modalne informacije za analizu haptičkog paralelnog gibanja [PDF]

open access: yesAutomatika : časopis za automatiku, mjerenje, elektroniku, računarstvo i komunikacije, 2013
Prostorna modalna informacija predstavlja element koji odgovara specifičnoj fizikalnoj radnji.

Correction of harmonic distortions in electrical systems through destructive interference [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we will present a didactic and alternative method for correction of harmonic distortions in a.c. electric systems. First, the harmonic distortions problem and quantification through the Fourier series will be presented.

Suppression of Thrust Fluctuation of a New Ironless Tubular Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor Based on the Halbach Array

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
The air gap magnetic field (AGMF) is the key factor in determining the ironless tubular permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (ITPMSLM). The distortion of its waveform causes thrust fluctuation during the operation of the motor, resulting in poor ...

Analysis of Pisarenko Harmonic Distortion (PHD) based subNyquist rate spectrum sensing for broadband Cognitive Radio

open access: yesDefence Science Journal, 2016
The essential part of Cognitive Radio (CR) is spectrum sensing, so that the underutilized spectrum could be detected to improve the spectrum efficiency. For this purpose, a wide range of frequency bands are considered and locations of multiple occupied spectrum subbands are focused. A major challenge related with such broadband spectrum sensing is that

Tradeoffs between AC power quality and DC bus ripple for 3-phase 3-wire inverter-connected devices within microgrids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Visions of future power systems contain high penetrations of inverters which are used to convert power from dc (direct current) to ac (alternating current) or vice versa.

A meta-heuristic optimization-based method for parameter estimation of an electric arc furnace model

open access: yesResults in Engineering, 2023
Throughout distribution systems, it is usual to find non-linear time-varying loads, such as electric arc furnaces (EAFs), which are widely used in the steel-making industrial sector.
