Transition to sub-Planck structures through the superposition of q-oscillator stationary states [PDF]
We investigate the superposition of four different quantum states based on the q-oscillator. These quantum states are expressed by means of Rogers-Szego polynomials.

Improving the phase sensitivity of the optical fiber Sagnac sensor is very important for accurately detecting weak signals of acoustic emission. Theoretical analysis shows that the initial phase of the sensor is π under ideal conditions, and the ...

Interferometry of hyper-Rayleigh scattering by inhomogeneous thin films [PDF]
The use of specific symmetry properties of the optical second-harmonic generation (the s,s-exclusion rule) has allowed us to observe high-contrast hyper-Rayleigh interference patterns in a completely diffuse light - an effect having no analog in case of ...

DC-electric-field-induced and low-frequency electromodulation second-harmonic generation spectroscopy of Si(001)-SiO$_2$ interfaces [PDF]
The mechanism of DC-Electric-Field-Induced Second-Harmonic (EFISH) generation at weakly nonlinear buried Si(001)-SiO$_2$ interfaces is studied experimentally in planar Si(001)-SiO$_2$-Cr MOS structures by optical second-harmonic generation (SHG ...

In the present paper, we investigate the high-order harmonic generation (HHG) from diatomic molecules with large internuclear distance using a strong field approximation (SFA) model.

Two-quantum-path interferences in high order harmonic generation [PDF]
We have investigated intensity dependent high-harmonic generation, when short and long trajectories are both visible in the generated signal. We have measured a plateau-harmonic spectral broadening and yield modulations consistent with quantum-paths interferences calculations.

Interference-Induced Phenomena in High-Order Harmonic Generation from Bulk Solids
We consider a quantum mechanical model for the high-order harmonic generation in bulk solids. The bandgap is assumed to be considerably larger than the exciting photon energy.

Single note dissonance through harmonic self-interference [PDF]
In music, dissonance is the unpleasant quality of sound. While dissonance is generally regarded as arising from two notes played simultaneously, low frequency notes sound dissonant when played alone on a piano. I hypothesize that this dissonance arises from the harmonics of the played note interfering with one another.

Enhanced Interpolated Dynamic DFT Synchrophasor Estimator Considering Second Harmonic Interferences [PDF]
In the future, phasor measurement units are expected to be applied in distribution networks (DNs) for their control and monitoring. Because of the widely used power electronic devices in DNs, harmonics are widely present in a voltage/current signal.
